12:08 Uhr … Gerade eben kam im Radio, bzw im Netz, das ein Polarbaer gesichtet wurde und leider (war klar, genauso bekloppt wie bei uns) erstmal totdmachen, dann weiter sehen – war nur ein paar Fjörde weiter weg. Sehr frustrierend. Wird leider nicht der Letzte sein, da die Arktis rapide Eis laesst … climate change, here i am!

We are pleased to announce an outdoor concert featuring Björk, Sigur Rós, Ólöf Arnalds and special foreign guests. The concert will take place in Reykjavík, Iceland, on the June 28th. The exact location will be disclosed later on.
The goal of the concert is to raise awareness on environmental issues in Iceland:
„Neither me or Sigur Rós look at ourselves as experts on nature, or as politicians, but we do travel a lot and we believe we know a lot about what image Iceland has abroad, and that we are far behind when it comes to being“ Says Björk when asked how the concert came to be. „I spent for example 2 months in South-America and there you saw the poor doing recycling. We can’t be 30 years behind, we need to work together on this and preferably we should be leading the way.“
„Too often battles being fought for nature turn into something negative and into mudslinging. We will not go that way, we are not saying that this and that is forbidden, we are rather asking „what about all these other possibilites?„. björk and sigur rós will be holding a large outdoor concert together in iceland on june 28th. the concert will be held to raise awareness of environmental issues in iceland.
in an interview in today’s morgunblaðið newspaper, björk criticizes the increasing heavy industry in iceland, particularly the highly pollutant aluminum smelters being built left and right.
“sigur rós and i are neither environmental experts nor politicians, but we travel around the world a lot and we have seen how far behind iceland is in conserving our environment. for example, i was in south america for two months and you could see all these impoverished people recycling. we can’t be 30 years behind, we need to be in the forefront.”
sigur rós and björk will also be teaming up to create a website with input from experts on the icelandic environment, focusing on the alternatives to heavy industry for the icelandic economy.

Das erste Lied plus Video vom kommenden neuen, fuenften „Sigur Rós“- Album ist raus. Das Album heisst „Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust((With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly))“ und die erste Auskoppling „Gobbledigook“.
Ich bete, das die im September auch noch hier noch in Island spielen, ansonsten sind die Herren, die ganze Zeit mit Amiina auf Welttourne, ua Koeln, Berlin, Dresden, Wiesbanden. Natuerlich wurde das Video schon zensiert, weil man nackte richtige Menschen sieht?! Im Jahre 2008, unglaublich, das man mit sowas normalem noch provozieren kann, gar laecherlich!

aus deutschland. direkt via berlin ueber REY mit einer nacht Akureyri gestern nach Húsavík. Wirkt noch total verstoert! War ich das auch auch? Wetter ist uebrigens wieder „normal“ nach ca. einer Woche strahlendem Sonnenschein … Welcome to Iceland!
also doch! nachdem ich depp, die ganze zeit auf die seite von 2007 geschaut habe, jetzt doch auch eine 2008 version des music-festivals in akureyri (ca. 60km entfernt). intressant ist die veranstaltung am 14 Juni mit Mugison, der bei uns irgendwie noch garnichts bekannt ist …mmmh mal schauen, ob ich es dahin schaffe, muss ja arbeiten und ja, ich habe keine auto.

Jaja, dickes Erdbeben in Selfoss, AUF DER ANDEREN SEITE der Insel.
Natuerlich ist hier alles bestens. Vorgestern sind dann erstmal alle Nachrichten ausgefallen, ausser die Sondernachrichtensendung zum Beben. Keine wurde ernsthaft verletzt und es gab bis auf geringen Sachschaden keine wirklichen Schaeden. Gut, so!
Allerdings machen die hier ein aufsehen mit LiveSchaltung und Reykjavi-Rathaus und Selfoss hin und her als waeren Teile der Insel weggebrochen. Dafuer das die Islander auf ner Erdspalte sitzen, extrem viel Panik und ChitChat um garnichts … naja endlich mal was anderes als immer nur ueber das Wetter zu reden …
Nun ja, falls das grosse Erdbeben nach Húsavík kommt (die Alten raunen es …) hier die Do´s
1. Get out
