there i was, just for a few nights in the wild—between melbourne and adelaide, called „the grampians“, damm nice national park and mountains scenery, especially aournd „halls gap“ (to summarize: now burned well over 120,000ha and is threatening the resort town of Halls Gap, 250km west of Melbourne.)but it was way to cold, when i was there. so i travelled further on to Adelaide. shame on me, now its burned down, like „the prom“ (wilson promitory np) last year burned down (one of the most scenic parks in oz), before i had the chance to hike there and now the gramps! damm it.
when i am back need to hurry before everything in this bloody hot country burns down. nah, but serious, its normal, for the vegetation and nature in oz to be burned down once in a while, the black fellas for example used fire for thousends of years, when it came to revegetation and planting (circle of fire, circle of life), but nowadays it just some stupid pissed blokes or bloody tourists, who snip out there cigarettes.
remember just one cigarette is enough to burn down miles and miles of pure wildernis. if i would be a ranger i would kick ass, definitly – doesnt matter if aussie or tourist. just hunt them!
… and by the way, i get goose bumps, when i see the pictures, when you now places and people and its not somewhere far away. want to be there, want to help people, animals and nature …
