Position Overview and Requirements

We are currently recruiting two Linux/Unix Administrators to backfill
our current Administrators while they are working on the Digital
Infrastructure Project.

These rolls will be primarily focussed on maintaining existing systems,
as we roll out new environment. The Unix Administrator’s will specify
and purchase servers and related infrastructure, configure and install
the operating systems and applications on servers, and maintains the
systems to achieve a high level of availability.

The successful applicant will have experience with:

* Demonstrated relevant and current industry experience administering
multiple Linux servers
* Advanced knowledge of web related technologies: apache, HTTP, HTML,
application servers
* Strong shell and perl scripting skills
* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP services and protocols
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Good knowledge of Intel and other hardware devices
* A thorough and analytical based approach
* System performance tuning skills
* Basic knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) storage
* Remote „lights-out“ administration and monitoring of servers

  1. Hmmm. Lass et mich wissen wenn du dich für die Stelle jetzt oder in Zukunft bewerben willst. Der General Editor des Lonely Planet für Südamerika ist Clubmitglied und war letztens mit den zwei Autoren für die neue Argentinien Ausgabe und die neue South America on a Shoestring Ausgabe bei uns im Clubhaus und meinte wir sollten sie es nur wissen lassen wenn sie irgend etwas für uns tun könnte.
