so who is organizing cans of VB and some fresh yabbies?

its possible to watch „footy“ (wikipedia-link) aka „Australian Football League“(AFL) in düsseldorf on TV! heya! every pub with SKY-tv should be possible, so need to ask the owners. #

got an email from a mate from finland:

Hi Daniel, It is possible to watch footy on the TV in the Dorf.

I had a very good relationship with O’Reilly’s and would with with 2 or 3 (or by myself) in the top back room to watch the matches (up to a week delayed). This was OK for them even if upstairs was closed and I would have private waiter service etc (helps if you drink there religiously
beforehand).
Check out www.sky.co.uk and click on TV Guide and select the Sports Channels – Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Extra… On each channel, trawl through the weeks programming to see when a match is going to be shown and then co-ord with O’Reilly’s to let you watch it. I will make sure the guys follow you up with the footy.

I am bringing my new team (the Finland Lions) down there in late March to play Dusseldorf (or more likely a combined German side). I think Czech Republic and Netherlands might come along also.

There is no need to have a look to see if it will be alright to play… If you know what colour a sherrin is, then you are in the top 10% of experienced players – if you have touched a sherrin before, then you can be the captain… OK – it’s not that bad, but everybody that wants to
play can play.

Cheers, Rooster
